Macro photography is all about getting up close and personal. You have to slow down, be intentional in composing your shot, and really focus on the tiniest of details.

It's my favorite type of "fun" photography to shoot. I lose myself in it! I can literally spend an hour walking around my backyard once per week or so- and I always come back having photographed something different. A flower I never noticed before... An insect that was crawling on a blade of grass...

Seriously, the sky is the limit as to what you'll find when you start looking at the details!
