Matthew and Miranda got married in an intimate outdoors setting in September.
In my initial phone conversation with Miranda, I could hear her smiling on the other end of the line. "Our whole relationship is really just such a perfect picture of God's redemption," she shared with me.
The chief end of their wedding was to glorify God and to share the love of Jesus with all of their guests.
Matthew personally stood at the entrance point of the ceremony and greeted everyone with a hug and a handshake before going to the altar to meet his bride. Miranda's sons walked her down the aisle to meet her groom.
After Matthew and Miranda took their vows to each other, they washed each other's feet, which is a New Testament picture of servanthood. And when Matthew was finally allowed to kiss his bride, they took communion together before they concluded the ceremony.
It was a beautiful day and a wonderful reminder that God orchestrates love stories. Congratulations, Matthew and Miranda!
